Dear Friends of Beit Halochem in Zurich
I would like to open by expressing both a personal thank you, for my scholarship and a global thank you in the name of all of the members who are scholarship receivers as well, for your blessed and important activities and contributions.
Your financial support has helped, and still is helping, me to bring in to reality my ambitions and abilities, and has even helped give me the starting push towards my studies in higher education. However, it is your indirect and emotional support which has been most important in pushing me forward. The knowledge that there are people who appreciate, support, and take care to be there no matter what happens, encourages and helps one move towards the desired goal while overcoming the many hardships along the way.
I was injured while on reserve duty in 1989 and married with a one year old child.
I was in intensive care for many months following the injury. After two years of therapy
I went back to working, while still continuing the medical treatments which I still continue to this day. Today I am 43, married and a father to three children.
In 2001 I began to study towards a bachelor's degree in Bar Ilan University. The combination of working and studying demanded much effort, especially because of my disabilities and medical treatments, as well as my position as father to young children. I graduated with honors.
Today I am studying towards an international certification in my field of studies. Without your constant support along the way, I do not know if all of this would have happened.
The warm words which you say in every opportunity and ceremony, as well as your warm treatment and attitude which you constantly shower upon me and others, simply bring tears of joy to my eyes.
I would like to add my family's gratitude for the kindness and generosity which you rain upon us.
A thousand thank you could not make clear my feelings towards you, but as an end note to this letter, I would like to add sincere gratitude for having helped me bring back my confidence of myself and for being full partners in the pride I feel from my family.
