BEIT HALOCHEM BEER-SHEVA Floor Plan
Beit Halochem is a rehabilitation center for Zahal disabled veterans, victims of terror and their families, dedicated to providing suitable solutions to their disability, since many disabled find it difficult to re-integrate into their regular routine so necessary to their physical and mental well being.
Beit Halochem is a place where the disabled can participate in sports and related activities suited to their individual disabilities. Sports programs make a major contribution to successful rehabilitation by maintaining the members' physical fitness and preventing deterioration of their health.
The Center offers its members a wide choice of social and creative activities. It promotes pastimes and hobbies which enrich their life and at the same time encourages them to renew social contacts, freeing them from the isolation that can come after being wounded and cut off from daily routine.

A very important feature of Beit Halochem is the meeting of "generations" of disabled, thus bringing together old timers and newcomers who must learn to adjust to the difficult and complicated world of disability.
There is a widely held view that the disabled should be cared for in an environment that is both congenial to them and to those around them. Along the same lines, Beit Halochem offers a variety of activities to occupy the family-grown-ups and children alike - while the disabled veteran is undergoing necessary treatments.
Out of 3,200 war disabled living in the Beer-Sheva district there are 2,400 whose homes are located less than 30 miles from the new Beit Halochem center. For these people and their families this center will play a major role in their rehabilitation process.
