Tamar Samash, Israel's Ambassador to Belgium, the ZDVO was invited by the Zionist Organization of Belgium to represent the organization and its members at an event called "12 Heures Pour Israel" . 27 February 2008 The First Israel Open Wheelchair Dancing Competition was held at Tel-Aviv's Beit Halochem On Saturday, February 2, 2008 Tel-Aviv's Beit Halochem hosted the First Israel Open Wheelchair Ballroom and Latino Dancing Competition. This is the first time such a competition was held in Israel. 31 January 2008 New Physiotherapy Institutes Inaugurated A festive ceremony was held on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, marking the opening of the new physiotherapy institute in Beersheva. Another ceremony was held on January 2, 2008 at Nahariya's Beit Kaye. 12 November 2007 Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel, Beit Halochem Canada, USA Mission visits Israel Between October 12-22, 2007, our Friends of Beit Halochem, Canada organized the 78 member mission. Headed by Toby Feldberg, President of ADVI Beit Halochem, Canada and her husband Saul, the mission included friends from the USA, UK and South Africa . 3 October 2007 22 member delegation representing the Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization took part in the Berlin Marathon For the first time ever, on October 1, 2007, a delegation of 22 disabled veterans representing the Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization (ZDVO), took part in the Berlin Marathon. 5 August 2007 2007 End of the Year Arts and Crafts Exhibit ,Tel-Aviv's Beit Halochem End of the Year Arts and Crafts Exhibits took place at the three Beit Halochem Centres this past June-July. The exhibit at Tel-Aviv's Beit Halochem was open to the public between July 5-21, 2007 and featured some 400 works of more than 240 participants. 15 July 2007 Therapeutic Riding – Gizmo Ranch at Geva Carmel Fourteen months ago, Beit Halochem Haifa began a therapeutic riding club which meets regularly at the Gizmo Riding Ranch at Geva Carmel. Most of the riders, members of the Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization, are severely wounded. Farhi, Coordinator of Admissions at Ramaz School in New York shared her impressions with her colleague Danièle Gorlin Lassner who serves as Dean of Admissions at that same school.
